While I was in Portland for a magical waterfall elopement, I also had the opportunity of shooting some engagement photos for one of my local couples.
Carolyn and Ken are tying the knot next summer at Villa De Amore in Temecula. They had mentioned wanting to do a destination engagement session, so I let them know my travel itinerary for the year and they both lit up when I told them that Portland was on my agenda. Not only did it offer some beautiful locations for their photos, but it also happened to be one of their favorite places. They jumped at the chance to have a reason to travel back to a city that they love so much.
We started out at the gorgeous Wahclella Falls….because you can’t really go wrong there. Carolyn and Ken have incredible style and looked straight off the pages of a magazine. We finished up the shoot at an epic stone ruin that was tucked away in a secret spot and took some exploring to find. Going from a glorious waterfall, to a mysterious moss-covered ruin, had me feeling like I had just stumbled into a real fairytale.
